I am 24 years old today

I’m about 1/3 through my life, in real time.

But it won’t seem like that. Time speeds up as you age. As you become more accustomed to routines, more familiar with your environment, days and weeks and years fly by in a way that was not possible for your younger self, awestruck by every little thing, perpetually “living in the moment.”

Every birthday since 21 gets a little scarier and less fun. Tonight I’m in New York City. Going to the Comedy Cellar. Alone. YOLO
